Why is it Dark at Night?

My astronomer friend in Brazil posted this video to his Facebook page recently and I liked it so much I thought I’d share. It was created by Minute Physics. This video explores the question, “Why is it dark at night?” It kind of messes with your mind a bit because it starts off with an obvious answer that turns out to be surprisingly misleading, then continues with another good answer which apparently is not quite right either, followed by another answer which…well, you should just watch the video yourself. Enjoy!

  1. That was an intense video, Nancy, thanks for sharing! I could listen to it five times! Definitely stuff you don’t really think about, like the time parameters and the red light spectrum. Crazy! 🙂

    • I know, right? It kind of blows my mind. It definitely deserves multiple viewing. And hey – thanks for being my first official comment! 🙂

  2. Cool! I love that I’m the first comment! 🙂 Is there any way to join and receive email updates? I guess I’ll just add your blog to my bloglist; why not diversify!

  3. I personally seem to agree with pretty much everything that ended up
being written inside “Astro Alima | Why is
it Dark at Night?”. Thanks for all the information.Thank you,Sabrina
